MINDMAP

The term phubber is a relatively new phrase used to describe a person being too obsessive with his or her smartphones in the past years. In Chinese, it is known as " di tou zu". What it means on the other hand is that phubber is a person that does not care about their surroundings but only focus on their device. A person that is said to be a phubber would feel less connected with the people around them like friends and family and consequently would hurt their mental health slowly. It is no doubt that phones are important in this era, but it creates the phenomena of phones obsessive use.

Regarding the research purpose for my topic, it is mainly to tell if ones are phubber or not. Specifically, it studies how a person interacts or focus on their devices like smartphones, smartwatches, tablets and so on. Besides on the things that we can see from a phubber, it also studies on the feelings that a phubber would have every day in order to see if there are any differences between a person that is clear from being a phubber compared to a true phubber.
