Week 1

As the beginning of my Graduation Projects course, I have done 3 tests that are tailored to see what personalities that I possess, and they are Creative Type by Adobe Create, What Kind of Changemaker Are You, and 16 Personality. As a result from the tests that I have mentioned, I am a person that is so called "The Artist", "Builder", and "Introversion" respectively. These tests gave me a rough idea and understanding of what kind of person I am.

After that, I have also answered the 8 Provocations prepared for this week that will act as a guide for me to better tell myself what I want as a graphic designer since the day I join this course.

Here are the answers that I have provided to each of the questions asked:

Theme 1 What do you enjoy?

Cooking, eating, chill out at the cafe

Theme 2 What do you fear?

Food that I cooked is not tasty, hurt others feelings, English skill no good

Theme 3 What do you want from the course?

Improve myself, be more professional

Theme 4 What can you offer the course?

Design something that suits my style

Theme 5 Where do you want to be/what do you want to be doing two years from now?

I want to be working in my own studio

Theme 6 Which designers / illustrators provide a context or inspiration for the type of work you want to do?

Marissa. She is an illustrator that often time puts herself in the cheerful illustrations, this makes me feel that enjoying what we do is really important and it is what I wish to do in my work as I think this is a good way of me trying to express myself without saying a word.

Theme 7 What current issues might graphic designers need to focus on or address?

Phone addiction

Theme 8 How would you define bad design or illustration?

There is no good or bad design because everyone has different taste

As two of the activities are done, it is time for me to construct my Statement of Intent in bullet points first, or S.O.I in short. It is to write what I want to do as a graphic designer in this final year, probably addressing Health Issue, Phone Addiction or so on, with design. Information on the issue that I want to work on has to be researched and references that I used must be cited in my S.O.I as it acts as a guide for me.
